Recently, foreign media reported that Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer BYD is negotiating with governments of several countries on the possibility of building factories overseas. These countries include European countries such as France, Spain, and Germany, as well as Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Vietnam. A BYD spokesman said the company was studying multiple locations for the best logistics and employment conditions.

 New energy vehicles

It is reported that BYD's blade battery technology is one of the important factors to attract overseas markets. A blade battery is a structural battery pack in which the battery and chassis are integrated and form part of the vehicle's load-bearing structure. This kind of battery pack has the advantages of high safety, low cost, and strong intelligence, and has been adopted by international auto brands such as Tesla.

In addition to blade battery technology, BYD's new energy vehicle products are also popular in overseas markets. BYD has launched its electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles in Europe, Southeast Asia, America and other regions, and achieved good sales performance. For example, in the Thai market, BYD launched the ATTO 3 (Yuan EV) electric vehicle last year, and announced on December 12. Its sales exceeded 10,000.

Regarding the plan to build factories overseas, BYD stated that the company will make reasonable arrangements based on market demand and the policy environment, and actively communicate and coordinate with local governments and partners. At the same time, the company will continue to strengthen technical support and service guarantee for overseas markets, and provide local users with high-quality products and experience.

 BYD's new energy vehicle

According to data from the statistics website Bestselling cars blog, since November 2022, BYD ATTO 3 (Yuan PLUS) has become the top seller of all car models in Israel for six consecutive months. According to the car sales data of Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) in April, BYD ATTO 3 won the top pure electric sales of the month. In New Zealand, Thailand and other markets, BYD ATTO 3 is also a well-deserved sales champion. This shows BYD Auto's influence and competitiveness in the global new energy vehicle market, and also reflects the achievements of Chinese manufacturing in technological innovation and quality improvement.
